Mudgee Wombats coach Neil McDonald has labelled the Dubbo Kangaroos as serious contenders in this season's Blowes Clothing Cup title after witnessing the defending premiers run rampant against his side at No. 1 Oval on Sunday.
The Wombats travelled to No. 1 Oval and were right in the elimination semi-final contest for the first hour but a number of uncharacteristic errors and some huge hits were the hallmark of the game for much of it.
